By creating an account, using our services, or accessing any part of somp.ai, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

To use somp.ai, you must:

  • Email/Password (with validation powered by NextAuth and Zod for your security)

You are responsible for:

  • Immediately notifying us of unauthorized activity on your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Use of Services

somp.ai is designed to help users improve their musical perception through engaging ear training exercises, games, and collaborative features. You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these guidelines:

  • No Misuse: Do not attempt to hack, disrupt, or interfere with the app’s functionality.
  • No Inappropriate Content: Refrain from uploading offensive, defamatory, or illegal content.
  • Respect Others: Engage respectfully with other users during multiplayer games, challenges, and in leaderboards.

Violation of these terms may result in suspension or permanent removal from our platform.

5. Data Collection for AI Training

somp.ai uses artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance user experience and provide personalized learning insights. To achieve this, we collect and analyze user interaction data, including but not limited to:

  • Exercise performance and accuracy
  • User interactions with AI-generated feedback
  • Progression trends and common mistake patterns

By using somp.ai, you consent to the collection and processing of this data for AI model training and improvement. We anonymize and aggregate data to protect user privacy. For more details, refer to our Privacy Policy.

If you do not wish to contribute to AI training, you may contact us to discuss alternative participation options.

6. Multiplayer and Social Features

somp.ai offers multiplayer challenges, ear training battles, and team-based activities. By participating in these features:

  • You agree to fair play and sportsmanship.
  • You consent to displaying your username, scores, and relevant stats on our leaderboards.
  • Collaborative features may involve interaction with other users—maintain a respectful and inclusive tone.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on somp.ai, including but not limited to:

  • Software code (Next.js, Tailwind, ShadCN UI, etc.),
  • Design elements,
  • Audio resources,
  • AI-generated feedback and insights,
  • Trademarks, logos, and branding (somp.ai),

are the intellectual property of somp.ai or our licensors. You may not copy, distribute, or modify our content without explicit permission.

8. User-Generated Content

Users may generate certain content (e.g., usernames, performance statistics, or collaborative exercises). By submitting content, you grant somp.ai a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content solely for service-related purposes.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or is reported by other users.

9. Data Privacy

We take privacy seriously. Our app uses secure authentication and validation processes (NextAuth, Zod) to protect your information. While we collect data to train our AI model, we do so in compliance with relevant data protection laws.

somp.ai integrates with third-party tools like Google Login and NextAuth. While we take care to choose reputable partners, we are not responsible for external services' actions or policies.

12. Termination

You can delete your account at any time by contacting us or through the app settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that:

  • Violate these Terms,
  • Engage in abusive or malicious behavior, or
  • Pose security risks to the platform.

Termination may result in the loss of your account data and leaderboard scores.

13. Disclaimers

somp.ai provides its services "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

  • The app will always function without interruptions,
  • Ear training results guarantee musical improvement, or
  • Multiplayer and leaderboard features will always be available.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, somp.ai and its developers are not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. If changes are significant, we will notify users via email or app notifications. Continued use of somp.ai after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
